Work Location

This position supports Kunes' Central Warranty Team and may be based out of any Kunes dealership location, depending on the selected candidate. While this position may be posted under a specific city for recruiting purposes, it is not tied to a single dealership location.


Your Responsibilities:


As a Warranty Administrator, you will prepare, record, and submit warranty claims to the factory or distributor, ensuring all required documentation and criteria are met. You will also reconcile warranty receivables and maintain service records to support efficient operations.

  • Warranty Claims Processing: Handle timely processing of warranty claims for each franchise or distributor, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with factory or distributor criteria.
  • Paperwork Management: Complete and verify all necessary warranty paperwork, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to dealership policies.
  • Reconciliation and Follow-Up: Reconcile warranty receivables with payments and post credits on computer systems. Follow up on outstanding claims to ensure timely payment.
  • Parts Tracking and Shipping: Tag and track warranty parts, manage their shipping to factories or distributors, and arrange for disposal or scrapping of non-repairable parts.
  • Service Record Maintenance: File and maintain all service records as required by the warrantor, ensuring detailed and organized record-keeping.
  • Assistance with Body Shop Warranty Claims: Provide support with body shop warranty claims and other clerical tasks as needed.
  • General Office Support: Assist with cashier and telephone duties, and perform other clerical duties as directed by the fixed operations manager or the controller.
  • Professional Presentation: Maintain a professional appearance and a neat work area to ensure a welcoming environment for clients and staff.
Requirements:Your Performance Specs:
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. No prior experience or training is needed, but related experience or training is beneficial.
  • Skills and Abilities:
    • Language Skills: Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions, reports, and correspondence. Effective communication in one-on-one and small group settings.
    • Mathematical Skills: Proficiency in basic arithmetic, including adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and understanding rate, ratio, percentage, and geometry concepts.
    • Reasoning Ability: Apply common sense to carry out detailed instructions and solve problems with minimal variability. Ability to manage multiple tasks and standardized situations effectively.
