What you will do
This is an entry-level role that supports our Staff Attorneys within the Claims Department on a variety of important administrative tasks and assignments. The Claims Support role helps keep our claims processes efficient, organized, and moving. With skills in communication, detail orientation, and organization, you will assist with acquiring inter-departmental information, troubleshoot systems issues, mail claims related documents, and prepare report summaries. Other administrative tasks will be assigned to help you learn, grow, and develop into the role. This role is performed completely onsite at the New Hartford, NY office.
Key responsibilities
  • Process and mail any necessary documents, checks, and letters to be sent to relevant parties, as requested by the Claims staff.
  • Request and obtain relevant documentation for a claim as requested by the Claims staff and ensure timely follow up.
  • Liaise with other departments to acquire information and relay to relevant parties.
  • Perform work within vendor web portals and submit tickets as needed to address any systems issues.
  • Read, interpret, and summarize data reports for Claims Staff.

Additional responsibilities
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Conforms with all corporate policies and procedures.

What you need
  • Associate's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years working in a Claims environment preferred, but not required.

Salary range: $34,000 - $40,900
The final salary to be paid and position within the internal salary range will take into consideration the individual's work experience, geographic location, education, certification(s) or additional qualifications, and scope and responsibilities within the role.
