Today, MiniCo is a member of the Jencap Program Administrators division, offering multiple specialty property and casualty insurance products for a variety of unique industries and exposures.

The Claims Assistant (P&C) will work a hybrid schedule from our Phoenix AZ, office.

Responsibilities
  • Set up new reported claims, handle incoming claims calls, and other administrative duties.
  • Ability to understand insurance policies to determine claim set up and policy types.
  • Take incoming new and existing claim calls.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the public.
  • Ability to analyze information received when a new claim is submitted
  • Ability to enter check requests and reserves from the adjuster
  • Do monthly reporting as requested
  • Pay and track vendor invoices
  • Generate letters and other correspondence based on claim type
  • Follow appropriate claims procedures for the reserving, and payment of loss or expense.
  • Review coverage questions with claims Manager and/or appropriate personnel of the principal.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 1 - 2 years of Insurance claim work experience in an insurance office or with a carrier.
  • Ability to make independent decisions.
  • Understanding of business line of products, policy language, exclusions, forms/endorsements, and effective claims handling practices.
  • P&C experience preferred.
  • Attention to detail ensuring accuracy.
  • Openness to the ideas and expertise of others and the ability to actively solicit input and share ideas.

The base salary offered for the successful candidate will be based on compensable factors such as job-relevant education, job-relevant experience, training, licensure, demonstrated competencies, geographic location, and other factors. Discretionary incentive compensation may be awarded.
