As a Claims Administrative Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our Claims department. You will be responsible for various administrative tasks, such as processing incoming drafts and mail, handling lawsuits, and preparing and maintaining consolidated reports on claims files and activity.  At Alfa Insurance, we pride ourselves on delivering on our promise to our customers.
Responsibilities
●    Assist in efficient operation of Subrogation Recovery Unit by processing subrogation proceeds and communications on a timely basis.
●    Facilitate subrogation recoveries by providing accurate collection processes and information via communications with entities such as insurance companies, attorneys and adjusters.
●   Facilitate subrogation recoveries by maintaining and asserting accurate workflows from Alfa’s claim staff to the appropriate and most efficient avenue of recovery, including assignments to attorneys, arbitration and collection agencies.  
●   Maintain records of incoming receivables to assure accurate and efficient accounting of subrogation proceeds. 
●   Perform administrative tasks for the claim’s manager; perform general office functions and related tasks as required.
●   Will be responsible for paying emergency road service claims and helping to resolve issues with claims
Qualifications
  • High School diploma required. 
  • Computer, telephone, customer service, and general clerical skills. 
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. 
  • Strong attention to detail and deadlines. 
  • Able to work without daily supervision
