Position Title: Personal Lines Account Manager II

Department: Greylock Insurance Agency, Pittsfield

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (4 days in office, one day remote after training)

Sign on bonus: $1,500.00 sign on bonus available for full-time employment. Eligibility for the bonus is $500 after successful completion of onboarding/training to be paid with two months of service, and $1,000 after 6 months of continued full-time satisfactory service.

To be employed by Greylock Federal Credit Union employees must reside in one of the following states: Massachusetts, New York, Vermont, or Connecticut.

The Personal Lines Account Manager II manages an assigned portfolio of personal lines customers, handling renewals, marketing, claims, and new business. This role requires independent decision-making, deeper product knowledge, and strong customer relationship skills to ensure retention, cross-sell growth, and alignment with Greylock’s service standards

Key Job Requirements:

1. Performs any functions, within scope of authority and expertise, to provide the highest level of service and responsiveness to the clients, prospective clients and guests served by Greylock Insurance Agency while performing all duties in accordance with prescribed regulatory compliance guidelines and Credit Union policies and procedures.

2. Gathers information; utilizes software to prepare a quote for underwriting. Uses underwriting guidelines, Singlepoint, and other company websites to qualify an insurance quote.

3. Confidently discusses options/quotes and makes recommendations for policy suggestions/changes with existing and potential customers. Be prepared to respond to frequently asked questions.

4. Advises and assists customers in claims process by using company websites and industry software. Answers questions, speak directly with adjusters, handle claim paperwork on the customer’s behalf and assures customers their claims will be handled promptly.

5. Takes ownership of assigned portfolio. Provides excellent customer service and adheres to Greylock’s motto to treat customers/members better than they expect.

6. Annual review of policies including remarketing with other carriers to retain business.

7. Handling new business clients gained from prospects, leads, web requests and calls.

8. Achieves expected standards in up-selling/cross-selling by reviewing existing customers’ policies and asking the appropriate questions that will result in cross-selling additional policies and up-selling needed features to current policies.

9. Cross-sells Greylock products (referrals) to non-Credit Union members, as well as have a basic understanding of the products and services the Credit Union has to offer.

10. Understands insurance concepts and is able to explain contract terms for personal lines products in a way that is understandable to our customers.

Related Responsibilities:

11. Actively represents the Credit Union in local civic, community and professional organizations. Promotes the Credit Union wherever and whenever possible.

12. Performs all duties in accordance with prescribed regulatory compliance guidelines and Credit Union policies and procedures.

13. Responsible for company specific trainings as well as keeping up with CE’s that are required to maintain P&C license

14. Provide office coverage for different locations based on the need

Position Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Two+ years of insurance experience preferred.
  • Successful completion of producer licensing within the first 3 months from date of hire.
  • Excellent verbal communication, telephone etiquette, and customer service and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Professional appearance. Able to maintain confidential information.

Training: Must successfully complete all company website training and all coverage training.

The salary range for this role is $22.45 to $29.19an hour. This is the salary range we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may pay more than the posted range for exceptionally qualified individuals. An employee’s pay position within the pay band will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience (job and life), skills (specific and transferable), seniority, performance, and business organizational needs. This range may also be modified in the future.
