As a Security Officer Credential Intake in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will help manage site entry, verify credentials, issue badges, monitor access points, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. Your visible presence and professional communication will help deter security-related incidents while supporting daily operations. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor and contractor entry, and maintain accurate access-related records.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, business areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unauthorized entry or other security-related concerns.
  • Communicate access-related issues, incidents, and unusual activity to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
