Job description

UniTek Global Services is seeking an Assistant Claim Administrator to support our Auto and Property Claims operations by assisting with claim intake, coverage verification, documentation, customer communications, and coordination with adjusters and vendors. This role ensures claims are handled efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with regulatory and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up new property claims; validate First Notice of Loss (FNOL).
  • Maintain organized, current claim files and update claims systems (Zoho, Corp Svcs portal).
  • Obtain statements from claimants, witnesses, and vendors; request and track estimates, photos, and reports.
  • Interpret telecom locate markings, including paint colors, symbols, utility codes, and tolerance zones.
  • Review site photos, mapsto understand how fiber, coax, and copper facilities were placed.
  • Understand telecom construction processes, including boring, trenching, plowing, aerial placement, handholes, pedestals, and splice points.
  • Identify likely damage mechanisms (e.g., mismarked locates, improper potholing, depth inconsistencies, contractor error).
  • Prepare damage summaries.
  • Serve as a point of contact for claimants regarding claim status and next steps.
  • Submit pay requests on approved invoices, assess back charges/credits as appropriate.
  • File claims as needed with appropriate provider for property damages when subcontractor funds are no longer available.
  • Maintain dashboards and activity logs; schedule meetings as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners (repair subcontractors).
