Location: Remote
Schedule: Monday - Friday, Regular Business Hours
Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000 annually

Job Summary
The Multi-Line Claim Consultant is responsible for the investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and resolution of commercial auto liability, bodily injury, and property damage claims within a dedicated national account program.
This role supports a high-profile commercial transportation client and requires an experienced adjuster who can independently manage claims from assignment through resolution while delivering exceptional client service.
Approximately 25% of the inventory involves litigation exposure, making strong liability analysis, negotiation, and claim management skills critical to success. This is an excellent opportunity for an adjuster who enjoys ownership of their files, working directly with clients, and resolving complex commercial auto claims.
Responsibilities
When we hire Multi-Line Claim Consultants at CCMSI, we look for professionals who take ownership of their files, communicate proactively, navigate complex claims with confidence, and deliver timely, accurate results that support both our clients and claimants.
  • Investigate, evaluate, and adjust commercial auto liability claims from assignment through resolution
  • Handle bodily injury, property damage, and liability exposures across multiple jurisdictions
  • Conduct coverage and liability investigations
  • Evaluate damages, establish reserves, and develop claim resolution strategies
  • Review police reports, medical records, repair estimates, witness statements, and supporting documentation
  • Negotiate settlements with claimants, attorneys, and authorized representatives
  • Manage attorney-represented and litigated claims when applicable
  • Coordinate with defense counsel, experts, and vendors as needed
  • Maintain accurate and timely claim documentation and diary management
  • Prepare claim reports, reserve recommendations, and client communications
  • Build strong relationships with clients and serve as a trusted claims resource
  • Ensure compliance with Corporate Claim Standards and client-specific handling requirements

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of claims handling experience
  • NY Adjusters License is required
  • Strong experience handling:
    • Commercial Auto Liability Claims
    • Bodily Injury Claims
    • Property Damage Claims
  • Experience managing claims from investigation through final resolution
  • Strong liability analysis and claim evaluation skills
  • Experience negotiating settlements and claim resolution strategies
  • Ability to manage an active inventory of approximately 130 claims
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer service and client relationship management skills
  • Effective diary management and organizational abilities
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Active Adjuster License or Designated Home State (DHS) License required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain additional licenses as required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Reliable attendance during established business hours
Preferred Qualifications
  • Commercial trucking or transportation claim experience
  • Litigation management experience
  • Experience working directly with defense counsel
  • Multi-jurisdiction claim handling experience
  • Prior TPA experience
  • Experience supporting national account clients
  • Additional state adjuster licenses

Compensation & Compliance
The posted salary reflects CCMSI's good-faith estimate in accordance with applicable pay transparency laws. Actual compensation will be based on qualifications, experience, geographic location, and internal equity. This role may also qualify for bonuses or additional forms of pay.
