JURISDICTIONS YEARLY SALARY MOBILE COUNTY $105,982 - $169,429 CITY OF MOBILE $89,314 - $142,782 CITY OF SARALAND $82,775 - $132,360 MOBILE AREA WATER AND SEWER SYSTEM $82,795 - $132,360 Salary amended 10/7/2024 Salary amended 10/11/2025 Salary amended 1/28/2025 Salary amended 6/26/2026 Requirements Minimum Qualification Requirements: Attainment of a minimum of a bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) in engineering and a minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience in engineering activities, including a minimum of one-year supervisory experience; or a combination of education and experience equivalent to these requirements. Special Requirement: Licensure as a Professional Engineer by the State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors in the State of Alabama.
