Job description

Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) is seeking a Civil Engineer to join our growing site development team in Bridgeport, West Virginia. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer to gain hands-on experience across a wide range of site development and infrastructure projects while working alongside experienced professionals who are invested in your growth.

You’ll contribute to real projects from day one and continue developing your technical skills, field experience, and understanding of project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and preparation of site development plans, including layout, grading, and utility design using AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Perform engineering calculations for stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, and other civil design elements under the guidance of a Professional Engineer
  • Support the preparation of reports, permit applications, and regulatory documentation
  • Participate in field activities such as site visits, inspections, and construction observation to support project execution
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including geotechnical, environmental, ecological, and survey staff
  • Support multiple projects and tasks while continuing to build technical and professional skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related required
  • 1+ years of civil site engineering experience preferred
  • Previous Internship and/or related Engineering experience is a plus
  • FE Completed/Engineer in Training certification (EIT/EI) preferred
  • AutoCAD and Civil 3D experience is a plus
  • Interest in Site Development including Layout, Grading, Stormwater, Erosion & Sediment Control, and Permitting
