Job DescriptionOverview

AtkinsRealis in Abitibi-Temiscamingue is growing! Spread across several offices, we provide consulting and plant engineering services primarily to clients in the region and the Far North. We offer expertise and a diverse range of services in various disciplines, including building, infrastructure, transportation, mining, and environmental sectors. Our team is a driving force for dynamic economic development in the region.


Your Role

As a Civil Engineering Technician, your responsibilities will vary by season:

Summer Season:

  • Perform site supervision;
  • Maintain the site journal;
  • Ensure project follow-up with the project manager and various stakeholders;
  • Verify installed quantities;
  • Review technical sheets and shop drawings.

Winter Season:

  • 3D modeling of projects, including piping, roads, and landscaping;
  • Prepare plans;
  • Perform quantity calculations.

About You
  • College diploma (DEC) in civil engineering;
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience;
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license;
  • ASP Construction card;
  • Strong organizational and planning skills;
  • Ability to work as part of a team;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel);
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D software;
  • Willingness to travel to various sites in Abitibi-Temiscamingue and Northern Quebec.

Site supervision is primarily in remote areas on "fly-in fly-out" rotations, with duration determined by project needs. Transportation to the site will be provided by the company.
