The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineering Project Manager to lead land development and infrastructure projects from concept through completion. This client-facing leadership role combines project delivery with mentorship of junior staff.


This position requires candidates to be located in one of our active or expanding markets:

  • Grand Rapids, MI
    (in-office)
  • Scottsdale, AZ
    (in-office)


In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Lead exciting, high-impact land development and infrastructure projects.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and build lasting client relationships.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers, helping shape the next generation of talent.
  • Play a key role in expanding Paradigms civil engineering presence across multiple markets.


What Youll Do

  • Lead the planning, design, entitlement, and construction phases of civil engineering projects.
  • Manage scope, budget, schedule, and quality to ensure successful delivery.
  • Prepare and review proposals, contracts, budgets, reports, drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants, regulatory agencies, and internal teams.
  • Oversee site development, roadways, utilities, stormwater management, and drainage design.
  • Conduct site inspections and provide technical support throughout project execution.
  • Serve as the primary client liaison, maintaining proactive communication and building strong partnerships.
  • Mentor and guide project teams, fostering growth and collaboration.
  • Promote continuous improvement in project processes and engineering practices.


What You Bring

  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering (or related field).
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • 7+ years of civil engineering and project management experience, with a strong background in land development.
  • Proven success delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and relevant software (HEC-RAS, etc.).
  • Strong technical expertise in site development, grading, utilities, and stormwater management.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for site visits.
