About the School of Civil & Environmental Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology

The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Georgia Tech currently has over 625 undergraduate students, nearly 400 graduate students, and 55 tenure-track faculty members. Women comprise 50% of the undergraduate population, and more than 29% of the undergraduate student population identifies as a member of under-represented minority groups. Thirteen faculty members are women, and eight faculty members identify as a member of under-represented minority groups. Job Summary

The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering (https://ce.gatech.edu) at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, GA invites applications for multiple tenure-track faculty positions in all areas of Civil Engineering. Applicants will be considered at all ranks, with a preference for the Assistant Professor rank.

Responsibilities

CEE faculty are expected to lead independent research at the cutting edge of their field and build a strong, extramurally funded research program and national/international recognition. In addition, they are expected to teach both undergraduate and graduate level courses, mentor a diverse student body, and conduct service to the school, institute, and profession.

Required Qualifications

An earned doctorate is required by the start of the appointment.

Preferred Qualifications

Successful candidates will have displayed an exemplary track record of research accomplishments, expertise or demonstrated interest in teaching and mentoring a diverse student body, and a degree of service engagement appropriate to their career stage.
