Job description

Civil Engineering - Design

Qualifications:

  • Candidate will have a civil engineering degree with 4+ years of experience and preferably a PE license.
  • 4+ years in civil or utility related engineering.
  • Strong background in site layout, grading, stormwater and erosion control design.
  • Field experience.
  • Experience in specification writing.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Responsibilities:

  • This position focuses on overseeing the design and production of civil engineering plans, calculations and specifications.
  • This position requires the owner to be able to coordinate directly with owners/developers, contractors and government entities.
  • The scope of the role will include site layout, grading, stormwater and erosion control.
  • Develop and manage site layouts, grading plans and earthwork calculations.
  • Design and permit stormwater management and erosion and sedimentation control systems.
  • Prepare and submit local land development permits ensuring compliance with regulations and submittals to the appropriate government agencies for review and approval.
  • Oversee quality assurance and coordination with contractors and government agencies throughout the design, construction and closeout of the project.
  • Design utility systems and coordinate and field issues.
  • Write specifications and prepare bid documents.
