Mead & Hunt is currently looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Transportation team as an Entry Level Civil/Water Resources Engineer in our Raleigh, NC, Myrtle Beach, SC, North Charleston, SC, or Lexington, SC office locations.
Responsibilities include:
  • Assisting with the design of water/wastewater and other civil engineering projects
  • Evaluating and analyzing existing projects
  • Coordinating with multiple utility owners, SCDOT, NCDOT, municipalities and regulatory agencies
  • Preparing or modifying reports, specifications, plans, schedules, studies, permits, and designs for projects
  • Preparing design computations and quantity estimates
  • Developing construction cost estimates for projects within the department

A valid driver's license and some travel will be required.
The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, water resources engineering or similar discipline from an accredited college or university or the ability to obtain within six months of hire.
The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following:
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation software experience
  • Utility coordination/relocation design experience
  • Municipal/Water Resources engineering experience
  • EIT certification
