Civil – Senior Engineering Technician (Federal)

U.S. Citizen Required

Pay: $59.33/hr

Contract to Possible Hire

Must live within 50 miles of: Overland Park, KS • Arlington, VA • Denver, CO

Job Description
  • Senior civil engineering technician supporting mission‑critical federal infrastructure projects.

  • Develop and modify site plans, grading, and utility layouts using Autodesk Civil 3D.

  • Lead technical specialist providing guidance, training, and oversight to technicians and engineering staff.

  • Ensure quality, consistency, and compliance with design standards, codes, and project requirements.

  • Review inputs, formats, and deliverables; maintain drawing control and historical records.

  • Perform design calculations, quantity takeoffs, estimates, and documentation.

  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary design teams; support conceptual and detailed design phases.

  • Communicate project requirements, progress, and schedules; support client‑focused solutions.

  • Contribute to process improvements, design standards, and best practices.

  • May lead presentations, training, and specialized technical assignments.

Minimum Requirements
  • Associate degree required; bachelor’s preferred.

  • 11+ years relevant civil design/engineering technician experience.

  • Advanced Autodesk Civil 3D.
  • Ability to pass all pre‑employment screenings (background, drug screen, MVR)
