Civil Design Engineer
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Position Summary
Job Description
JQOL is seeking a Civil Design Engineer to join our growing team. We are looking for a great candidate who is dedicated, detail-oriented, and excited to contribute to meaningful civil engineering projects. The successful candidate will work with a team to develop high-quality engineering plans and deliverables in accordance with current manuals, specifications, accepted industry practices, and project requirements.
The chosen applicant will be integrally involved in civil design, plan development, engineering calculations, technical documentation, and project coordination. We need our team members to be versatile, enthusiastic, and have a highly team-oriented mindset.
Key Responsibilities
  • Work will include, but not be limited to, CAD design, plan sheet production, engineering calculations, drainage exhibits, building and site design concepts, technical specifications, quantity calculations, technical reports, and permitting.
  • Assist senior engineers and project managers with the development and completion of civil engineering projects.
  • Prepare and review construction plans, details, exhibits, and supporting documents.
  • Work closely with the JQOL design team, clients, and other design partners as needed.
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Research and assist with resolving technical design issues.
  • Manage assigned tasks and meet project deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail.
  • Take ownership of assigned work and see projects and tasks through to completion.
  • Continue developing technical knowledge and civil engineering design skills.
