Job Description Job Posting Title: Engineer, Civil (TS) Work Location: Saskatoon, SK - in office 40 hours per week Monday - Friday Job Posting Start Date: 08/17/2026 Job Posting End Date: 12/31/2026 Role Description / Key Responsibilities Perform civil design and/or oversee the design of large construction projects, including roads, railways, airports, bridges, dams, storm/sewerage systems, pipelines, and related infrastructure. Be responsible for scope development, planning, and cost estimating to support business cases throughout the asset life cycle. Work with civil designers to provide CAD support for the development of Civil 3D models and 2D construction drawings, including detailed construction documentation.
Develop and revise technical specifications, scopes of supply, Bills of Materials (BOMs), Material Take-Offs (MTOs), Construction Work Packages (CWPs), and construction work packages. Ensure all design work is completed in accordance with Cameco's processes, procedures, standards, design criteria, and regulatory requirements. Inspect completed civil projects to ensure compliance with industry codes, specifications, and safety standards.
Prepare work schedules, allocate resources, and supervise junior engineers, technicians, and contractors. Skills / Previous Experience Experience with civil design work. Strong communication, collaboration, planning, and organizational skills.
Ability to travel intermittently to Cameco's northern Saskatchewan sites by aircraft and to Ontario locations. Ability to work independently. Self-motivated, reliable, with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
Previous experience working on mining-related projects. In-depth knowledge of applicable codes, regulations, and standards. Experience with 3D visualization software such as Navisworks, Jetstream, and point cloud technology.
Training / Qualification Activities The successful candidate must complete all required ISN training before attending a Cameco safety-sensitive site (Northern Saskatchewan), including: Location-Specific Site Orientation. Surface Pre-Access or Underground Pre-Access training (including successful completion of a substance test).
