Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a team in the conceptual planning and design of civil engineering projects including water distribution, sanitary sewer collection, wastewater treatment, stormwater management, and site development.
  • Prepare and revise engineering drawings, concept plans, and figures using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Assist with design calculations, both by hand and using modeling software such as HydroCAD, WaterCAD, etc.
  • Support the preparation of technical reports and applications
  • Assist with construction administration responsibilities including the review of product submittals and responding to request for information
  • Site visits during the design and construction phase to review onsite conditions and construction progress.
