•             Interpret project specifications, engineering drawings, and survey data

•             Coordinate with municipalities, agencies, and clients throughout the permitting process

•             Perform engineering calculations and conduct quality control reviews on deliverables

•             Provide technical guidance to project managers during project execution

•             Participate in post‑project reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

•             Mentor junior engineers and technicians as needed

Required Qualifications

•             Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline

•             Experience with grading, drainage, and site utility design

•             Ability to independently manage multiple concurrent projects

•             Experience with land development and subdivision design

•             Familiarity with municipal and state‑level submittal requirements

•             Strong written communication skills for client‑facing deliverables

Ideal Candidate Profile

•             Self‑directed, accountable, and solutions‑oriented

•             Thrives in a small, high‑performance team environment

•             Comfortable with transparent communication and results‑driven expectations

•             Strong organizational and time‑management skills

•             Clear communicator with both clients and internal teams

•             Collaborative but capable of working independently

•             Detail‑oriented with a quality‑first mindset

•             Active PE license already in hand (no pending reciprocity)

•             Experience at a small‑to‑mid‑sized civil firm with direct client interaction

•             Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget

•             Familiarity with regional permitting processes and agency requirements

•             Deep experience in land development and site design from concept through construction

•             Strong Civil 3D proficiency, including surfaces, corridors, pipe networks, and plan production workflows

•             Ability to take full ownership of project engineering with minimal oversight

•             Demonstrated success working directly with clients, municipalities, and reviewing agencies

•             History of mentoring junior staff and contributing to team development

Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, HSA

Why This Role Stands Out

This position offers meaningful technical ownership, direct client visibility, and the ability to influence project outcomes from day one. The team operates in a lean, collaborative environment where individual contributions are highly visible and rewarded.
