Position Summary
This position is recognized as a strategic buyer responsible for procurement of indirect materials and services for certain commodities in support of all business sectors in the Americas. This position will collaborate with multiple site facility leaders and work within the global procedures for Strategic Purchasing.

What you will be doing:

With this attractive opportunity you will get a chance to:

  • Process purchasing award summaries and purchasing documents for suppliers directly related to maintenance, repair and operational goods and services within RRPS global compliance policies
  • Develop sourcing lists and monitor supplier performance
  • Aggressively resolve all pricing, invoicing, and contract related issues with the suppliers
  • Negotiate pricing, terms and annual contracts with suppliers, especially for goods and services utilized at RRSA operational and remote facilities.
  • Analyze supplier cost/pricing information and benchmark the competition
  • Manage purchase requisition queue, vendor invoice management queue
  • Maintain open communication between internal departments, management, and suppliers

Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Materials Management, Finance, OR
  • Packaging Engineering, and 3 years of procurement, materials management, supplier cost analysis, or supply chain management experience; OR
  • 7 years of experience in procurement, materials management, supplier cost analysis, or supply chain management
  • Experience in handling confidential, sensitive matters with discretion

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with others

  • Understanding/knowledge of multiple disciplines demonstrating breadth of experience. Appreciation of product integrity
  • Has a proven track record delivering improved operational performance in both favorable and unfavorable conditions, utilizing cross-functional teams
