Job Overview

Deloury Construction Company Inc is seeking two experienced Civil Construction Project Superintendents to lead heavy civil construction projects throughout the Merrimack Valley and within a 60-mile radius of our Andover, MA corporate office.

This onsite leadership role is responsible for overseeing field operations, managing crews of up to 20 personnel, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring projects valued at $5–7+ million are completed safely, on time, and under budget. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of delivering complex civil projects with strong cost control, schedule management, and field leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with the Project Manager to develop, refine, and maintain project schedules
  • Lead and manage field operations including labor, equipment, subcontractors, and materials
  • Supervise and coordinate crews of up to 20 field personnel
  • Maintain full knowledge of contract drawings and specifications
  • Forecast and develop look-ahead schedules and two-week work plans
  • Conduct weekly foreman meetings when applicable
  • Identify, document, and communicate change orders and potential change orders
  • Track project progress to ensure schedule and budget goals are achieved
  • Manage project documentation and field reporting
  • Enforce safety, quality, efficiency, and company core values on all job sites
  • Maintain regulatory and environmental compliance
  • Oversee company assets and understand project cost impacts
  • Interface directly with clients to maintain strong working relationships

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience as a Civil Construction Superintendent
  • Experience supervising heavy civil projects valued at $5–7+ million
  • Proven history of completing projects under budget
  • Strong ability to manage crews and field personnel effectively
  • Experience with Trimble GPS systems
  • Experience with B2W Ops and Track (preferred)
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to develop and manage project schedules
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to drive projects to completion
