Kleinfelder Construction Services is seeking a full-time Public Outreach Project Coordinator to join our Public Relations (PR) Team!  

The Public Outreach Project Coordinator is a full-time position that performs a variety of tasks for public outreach and stakeholder engagement for multiple contracts and communications programs. The Project Coordinator will work with the PR team to ensure smooth running of the division in daily tasks and as it relates to the entire firm. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in public relations, communications, or journalism. The successful candidate will bring excellent writing, research, and organizational skills, adapt easily to a wide range of client needs, and consistently go above and beyond to deliver high-quality work on time.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with our team of public outreach specialists and graphic designers on he high-level stragey, development, and implementation of communications programs and outreach plans for various clients. 
  • Draft written content for various traditional and digital collateral materials (e-blast, fact sheets, postcards, construction alerts), including social media content
  • Coordinate with technical teams, as needed, to gather project information for public dissemination
  • Engage stakeholder audiences in person or online, maintaining the client's messaging
  • Establish and coordinate as-needed vendor services such as translations, canvassing, printing, event logistics and supplies
  • Collaborate with team on technology tools such as Smartsheet, Google Analytics, Constant Contact, CivicPlus, ArcGIS, Adobe Suite, Canva, Survey Monkey, Content Management Systems, etc. to communicate or manage project information
  • Manage social media and digital advertising platforms for clients
  • Document all outreach metrics and prepare monthly reports for KCS and clients
  • Assist with research and ascertainment pertaining to planning
  • Respond to requests for information from the media or designate another appropriate information source
  • Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with representatives of community, employee, and public interest groups
  • Manage/maintain databases and project helplines
  • Create and distribute press releases and information alerts
  • Assist in planning and implementation of milestone events
  • Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize and accomplish work
  • Represent the company or clients at public meetings when necessary
  • Maintain good inter-departmental communication and a positive relationship with employees to promote employee satisfaction
  • Assist with preparing developing and/or producing PR proposals in response to client Request for Proposals (RFP) or Statement of Qualifications (SOQ)
  • Collaborate with Marketing in the production and delivery of PR proposals
  • Perform office administration tasks
  • Perform other duties as needed

EXPERIENCE & ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or equivalent in related field required.

Experience: 5+ years related progressively complex experience, preferably with public relations experience in consulting engineering firm, public agency or related service business.

Other Knowledge and Skills: Demonstrated experience working in social media; Facebook, X, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, NextDoor, Google+, blogs and other social networking sites preferred.  Demonstrated ability to contribue to high-level communications and campaign strategies. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. High-level proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Must be highly organized and have strong desire to work in a team-driven atmosphere. Strong research and data analysis skills preferred. Must be able to clearly articulate ideas and concepts verbally, graphically, and in writing.

Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience. Salary Range:$63,206 - $105,487.
