Job Description
The City of Springfield is now accepting applications for Seasonal Laborers to support a variety of departments throughout the City!
This is a great opportunity for individuals seeking hands-on experience in public service.
Seasonal opportunities may be available in the following areas:
  • Airport
  • Facilities
  • Forestry
  • Water Treatment Plant
  • Wastewater Treatment Plant

Examples of Duties
  • Performing general grounds maintenance such as mowing, trimming, and debris removal
  • Assisting with basic repairs and facility upkeep
  • Supporting daily operations at assigned division
  • Operating hand tools and light equipment
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
  • Following all safety procedures and City policies
  • All other job related duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work in various weather conditions
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to frequently and continuously lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 40lbs
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Ohio driver's license and meet and maintain insurability under the City'sinsurance plan.
