Job description

Description This position is open for current City of Springfield employees. Only individuals currently employed with the City of Springfield will be considered. The City of Springfield is committed to innovation, sustainability, and improving the quality of life for our residents.

We are currently looking for a GIS Analyst to join our Information Systems Department. Qualifications and Requirements Experience, Education, and Training Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Planning, Geography, Cartography, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field; AND Two years of responsible experience in GIS work; Experience can be substituted for education on a year for year basis. PREFERRED UNIX, WindowsXP, or Windows2000 administration experience.

Network Administration experience; Arc/Info, ArcGIS Desktop, ArcSDE, and ArcIMS experience is desirable. ArcObjects, Visual Basic, AML, HTML, C++, and Java programming experience; Autocad and MrSID experience; Aerial photography experience. Licensing/Certification Must possess a valid driver's license.
