Position Summary

The part-time Housekeeper is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and overall appearance of the Rio Rancho Events Center. This role involves cleaning and maintaining public and private areas within the facility, including restrooms, event spaces, offices, and other common areas. The housekeeper will ensure the venue is clean, sanitized, and welcoming for events and day-to-day operations.

This role will pay an hourly rate of $14.50

Benefits for Part-Time roles: 401(k) savings plan and 401(k) matching.

The Rio Rancho Events Center is a versatile, multi-purpose venue located in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. With a seating capacity of up to 7,000, the facility hosts a wide range of events, including concerts, sports games, conventions, and community gatherings. Equipped with modern amenities and flexible configurations, it is designed to accommodate everything from intimate performances to large-scale events. The center is a key destination in the region, providing entertainment, cultural, and sporting experiences for the local community and visitors alike.
Responsibilities
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, common areas, and event spaces.
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and scrub floors as needed.
  • Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
  • Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
  • Dust surfaces, clean windows, and perform other tasks to maintain a tidy environment.
  • Clean up spills, handle trash removal, and assist with event turnover and post-event cleanup.
  • Report any maintenance or repair needs to management.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and ensure a secure environment for guests and staff.
  • Assist with special cleaning projects as required.
Qualifications
  • Previous housekeeping, janitorial, or custodial experience is a plus.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on the event schedule.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to follow cleaning procedures and safety protocols.
