Job Description

Overview:

Our Farming Internship candidates will support a wide range of agricultural operations, with primary focus on Grove Care and Spray activities essential to tree health and fruit quality. Their responsibilities may include assisting with grove scouting, monitoring tree growth and pest pressure, helping prepare and calibrate spray equipment, and learning safe, compliant application practices. They may also rotate through the nursery to support seedling production and plant health tasks, work with irrigation teams to monitor moisture levels and maintain system performance, and contribute to general agricultural operations such as crop maintenance, data collection, and field preparation. This role provides hands-on experience across the full lifecycle of citrus production while developing practical skills in modern, large-scale farm management.

Here's what you'll do:

  • Assisting farm field supervisors with daily tasks and projects.
  • Assimilate and analyze production and farm- related data such as yield, size and quality information.
  • Assist existing management staff in evaluating, analyzing, designing, and maintaining varying Farming department data.
  • Create, present and distribute various farming reports.
  • Update, revise and distribute various databases; improve structure and availability.
Qualifications

Here's what you'll bring to the table:

  • Must currently be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Crop Science or related studies required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older
  • Must be at least in his or her Junior year/Junior academic standing.
  • Computer proficient in Excel, Access, Word, etc.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills are a must.
  • Demonstrate interest in Farming/Pest Control Operations
  • High attention to detail
  • Valid Driver License
  • Must currently be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in related studies required
  • Must have a Junior or Senior college academic level with a minimum of 2.5 Overall G.P.A. and a 3.0 Major G.P.A.
  • Must have started core concentration classes in related field
  • Computer proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, Access, Word, etc.
  • Must have excellent communication skills-verbal and written
  • High attention to detail
  • Team oriented and have passion for learning
