Irrigation Manager - Commercial Landscaping

We’re hiring an Irrigation Manager to lead all irrigation operations for our San Antonio branch.
You want career growth, top-tier pay, a fun work environment, and the tools to win. Sunscape can give you all that—and more.

Why You’ll Love Sunscape

  • Top-tier pay with bonus tied to water savings, response times, and portfolio quality
  • Company truck + fuel card, phone/iPad, and the gear you actually need
  • Autonomy without micromanagement and a team that moves fast
  • Real growth path as we scale across Central Texas

Who is Sunscape?

We're a full-service commercial landscape maintenance company in Central Texas primarily servicing master planned HOA communities. Today, we service over 125+ HOA's in Austin and San Antonio.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the irrigation program for a portfolio of commercial/HOA properties
  • Lead, schedule, and develop a team of irrigation techs (hiring, coaching, safety)
  • Diagnose and repair mainline/zone breaks, valves, pumps, backflows, and two-wire systems
  • Plan and execute PM programs: station checks, seasonal settings, audits, and reporting
  • Set, monitor, and optimize smart controllers/central control (Rain Bird, Hunter, Weathermatic, etc.)
  • Build water budgets; track usage and hit conservation targets; align to drought rules
  • Quote and deliver irrigation enhancements; manage materials and job costs
  • Ensure same-day triage of leaks and priority issues; manage after-hours/on-call rotation
  • Maintain clean documentation in our software (work orders, photos, as-builts, parts)
  • Partner with Account Managers and clients during walks; present findings and solutions

What It Takes

  • 3+ years leading commercial irrigation service/repairs (crew lead or manager)
  • Expert troubleshooting of irrigation issues, decoders, and two-wire
  • Proficiency with smart controllers & central control platforms
  • Strong planning, routing, and parts/materials management
  • Clean driving record; ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors year-round
  • Texas TCEQ Licensed Irrigator (LI) or ability to obtain quickly (company-supported)
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) strongly preferred

Nice to Have

  • Backflow Tester (BPAT), Irrigation Technician (IT), or related certifications
  • HOA/community maintenance experience in Central Texas
  • Familiarity with Aspire (or similar) service software and SAWS conservation programs

Core Values

  • WE ARE ACCOUNTABLE – We are transparent. We do what we say we’re going to do. We are actively building trust with others.
  • WE ARE GROWTH MINDED - We are interested in learning new things. We view change as an opportunity.
  • WE ARE POSITIVE - We focus on the bright side. We uplift others.
  • WE ARE GOOD PEOPLE - We communicate well. We help one another. We are people others enjoy being around. We show humility every day.
  • WE DELIVER WITH QUALITY - We operate in a safe and timely manner. We ensure exceptional results.

If you’re hungry to lead, love solving tough irrigation problems, and want to grow with a winning team, let’s talk—confidentially.
