SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our Logistics team. This role is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of citrus products, machinery, equipment, containerized trees, and other farm materials using drop deck, flatbed, and refrigerated trailers as needed. The driver may assist with the loading and unloading of bins, equipment, or materials when required. The position requires maintaining all government-required electronic logs (E-logs) and ensuring compliance with applicable weight laws, safety standards, and federal transportation regulations. The driver is responsible for properly securing all loads prior to transport and ensuring that deliveries are completed accurately and efficiently.
Additional responsibilities include verifying quantities of goods received or delivered, obtaining appropriate signatures and proof of delivery (POD), and determining appropriate routes or following established delivery schedules based on operational needs and conditions. Qualified candidates must possess a valid CDL Class A license and have a minimum of five years of over-the-road and/or intrastate driving experience. Off-road driving experience is highly desirable, particularly in agricultural or rural environments.
JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Perform deliveries and pick-ups of citrus trailers between the packinghouse and groves using flatbed and/or straight truck equipment.
  • Transport eliminated citrus products from the packinghouse to in-state processing facilities.
  • Deliver and pick up containerized tree material from growers or logistics hubs to customer locations using flatbed or drop deck trailers.
  • Utilize refrigerated trailers to deliver produce from the packinghouse and/or cold storage facilities to local retail distribution centers.
  • Inspect, verify, and when necessary assist with the loading and unloading of trucks, trailers, bins, or equipment.
  • Secure all loads in accordance with safety standards and perform required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Operate under established schedules and detailed instructions; communicate any changes, delays, or issues to the supervisor or Receiving Supervisor.
  • Verify quantities of goods delivered and received, obtain proper customer or recipient signatures, and document Proof of Delivery (POD).
  • Provide professional customer service, addressing and clarifying any delivery-related questions or concerns.
  • Perform other driver-related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Valid CDL Class A driver's license and a current Medical Examiner's Certificate required. Must meet and maintain eligibility standards for approval by the company's insurance carrier.
  • Clean driving record.
  • High school diploma preferred.
  • Minimum of five or more years of applied experience in over-the-road experience.
  • Successful background in truck driving and deliveries.
  • Organizational and planning skills. Able to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
  • Must be able to work effectively under time constraints and exercise good judgment under pressure.
  • Good logic and analytical skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills to work effectively with a variety of teams and customers.
  • Ability to read, write and follow directions.
  • Ability to verbally communicate details and directions and adhere to all safety regulations.

WORK HOURS & ENVIRONMENT
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 40+ hours per week. Occasional evening, night and/or weekend work may be required as seasonal job duties demand.
