As a Lead Infrastructure Engineer at JPMorganChase within the Retail Branch Network team, part of Enterprise Network Services in Corporate Technology, you will play a critical role in designing, engineering, and implementing robust network solutions across our branch and data center environments. You will bring deep expertise in Cisco Data Center, Branch, and Enterprise Software-Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN) technologies to deliver secure, scalable, and resilient infrastructure that supports millions of customers and thousands of employees. Your technical leadership and collaborative mindset will help shape the direction of our network engineering practice and elevate the capabilities of the team around you.

Job responsibilities

  • Lead the design, engineering, and implementation of network infrastructure solutions for retail branch and data center environments, with a focus on Cisco technologies including Data Center, Branch, and Enterprise SD-WAN
  • Drive customer intake refinement and requirements grooming, partnering with stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable, secure technical solutions
  • Develop and enforce implementation standards to ensure consistency, security, and compliance across all network deployments
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and professional growth
  • Oversee end-to-end project delivery across requirements gathering, solution design, engineering, testing, and deployment phases
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architecture, operations, security, and business partners to ensure alignment and successful execution of network initiatives
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend innovative solutions that enhance network performance, reliability, and resilience
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation including design standards, implementation guides, and operational procedures
  • Participate in incident management and root cause analysis, driving timely resolution and preventive measures for network-related issues
  • Support capacity planning, performance optimization, and lifecycle management of network infrastructure

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on infrastructure engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering with a focus on Cisco Data Center, Branch, and Enterprise SD-WAN technologies
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing large-scale network solutions in a regulated or highly complex enterprise environment
  • Strong working knowledge of network protocols, security best practices, and infrastructure implementation standards
  • Experience with customer intake refinement, requirements grooming, and translating business requirements into technical solutions
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and guide engineering teams in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication, cross-functional collaboration, and problem-solving skills

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
