Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery night shift position requiring 3+ years of L&D experience and Epic proficiency.

Details
  • Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of a hospital setting
  • 13-week travel assignment
  • Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 1845-0715)
  • No block scheduling; flexibility required
  • Experience with Magnesium Sulfate drips and C-Sections required
  • Floating to Post-Partum unit required based on patient care needs
  • Uses Epic EMR system
Requirements
  • Active Washington (WA) RN license or compact license required, in hand
  • Minimum 3 years of L&D nursing experience in a unit with comparable volumes and acuity
  • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP
  • Preferred certifications: AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate, FHM
  • Prior travel nursing experience required
  • Epic charting experience required
  • Experience with high-risk deliveries, C-Section circulation/scrub, and obstetric emergencies preferred
Additional Information
  • Provide comprehensive labor, delivery, and postpartum nursing care including fetal monitoring, medication administration, and newborn care
  • Assist with high-risk deliveries, C-Sections, and management of obstetric complications such as pre-eclampsia, hemorrhage, and preterm labor
  • Support antepartum and postpartum patients with condition-specific care needs
  • Complete facility-required orientation modules signed off by unit managers
  • Requested time off (RTO) must be 5 days or less and disclosed prior to assignment start, with no changes permitted afterward
  • Local candidates accepted at the same rate as non-local travelers
  • Travel pairs accepted
  • Former staff must have been separated from the facility/system for at least 1 year to be considered for a travel assignment
  • Charge nurse experience preferred
