Job description

GovCIO is currently hiring for a Network Circuit Manager to support modernization efforts. This position will be located in Hampton, VA on Joint Base Langley-Eustis and will be a fully onsite position.
Responsibilities
We are seeking a Network Circuit Manager that is well-equipped to manage communication circuits effectively, maintain circuit performance, and support network operations. This position is located at Langley Air Force Base, Hampton, Virginia.
Key Responsibilities
  • Ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of communication circuits used for network operations.
  • Coordinating with various teams and agencies to meet circuit requirements and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Monitoring circuit performance and usage to ensure optimal operation and security.
  • Identifying and addressing any problems with communication circuits to minimize downtime and maintain reliable communication channels.
  • Troubleshooting systems failures and accessibility problems within the network to our services.
  • Supporting new/enhanced network implementation, installation, and technical refresh projects within a site or locale.
  • Problems faced are difficult, they will require detailed information gathering, analysis, and investigation to understand problems. You will employ creativity and ingenuity for new technical solutions applicable across the enterprise, drawing heavily on prior experience.
  • Experience with network administration ticket resolution.
    • Support Network ticket closure across Network OPS staff to include:
    • Completes initial categorization of Service Requests (type, sub-type, location device, priority, etc.)
    • Use administrative access to the network to provision new switches, routers, VLANs and Crypto.
    • Uses administrative access to network components to research errors, incidents, problems and to perform incident analysis and identify potential problems.
    • Routing Service Requests to the appropriate organization required for incident resolution.
    • Performs root cause analyses.
    • Completes problem resolutions associated with incident ticket(s)
  • May configure, deploy, manage, and maintain monitoring systems used by the technicians to ensure availability and overall performance of system and services.

Qualifications
High School with 9+ years (or commensurate experience)
Required Skills and Experience
Clearance: TS/SCI Eligibility
  • Organizational skills to drive multi-functional projects
  • Network administration and circuit management
  • Debug of CPU logic and circuit failures
  • DoD 8140 Level II certification (Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CySA+,CND, )
  • Contract management, interpreting and applying AC and DC power systems, and knowledge of transformers, circuit protection, and protective relaying

Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in technical or engineering field or equivalent
  • Certifications:
    • Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP)
    • Prosci Certified Change Practitioner
    • Certified Problem and Change Manager (CPCM)
  • Adaptability, adjusting to new situations and responding to unexpected challenges
  • Problem-solving skills addressing unforeseen challenges and ensuring changes are implemented smoothly
