Job description

Basic Qualifications
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field. Also requires 2+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree and 6 months of job-related experience.. Agile experience preferred.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable period of time but preferred at at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Responsibilities for this Position
Make the world's most advanced SWC Fire Control Common Infrastructure Product Team (CIPT) even smarter!
As a System Engineer - COTs/NDI (Sr Systems Eng) for SWC Fire Control, you'll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for development of Strategic Weapons Systems Capabilities under the nuclear triad. We strive to deliver reliable, high-performance solutions that meet the rigorous demands of modern warfare and ensure the safety and success of our missions.
Working in this capacity you will:
  • Lead the integration of Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and Non-Developmental Items (NDI) in our fire control systems with a continuous development mindset.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to seamlessly integrate and iterate on COTS/NDI solutions.
  • Oversee testing and validation to ensure systems meet evolving program requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Enhance engineering processes and standards with a focus on agility, innovation, and robust software processes.

What You Bring to the Table:
  • Strong background in systems engineering with a focus on integrating COTS/NDI products.
  • In-depth understanding of software development processes to ensure successful integration and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management skills.
