OVERVIEW

The full-time AV Technical Lead partners with the Technical Director to support the audio, video, and lighting needs of Grace Community Church. This role equips and empowers volunteers while ensuring GCC's AVL systems aremaintained, organized, andoperatingwith excellence to support weekend gatherings and ministry events.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Support weekend gatherings at GCC
  • Oversee video team volunteers and video equipment
  • Provide AV support forspecial eventsat GCC
  • Help support AV for Youth ministry
  • Recruit, train, and care for AV volunteers
  • Clean, organize, and upkeep tech equipment across the GCC campus
  • Help set up stages in various venues
  • Assistwith the building and lighting of stage sets
  • Manage repairs and the logging of information in our inventory system
  • Other duties as assigned


COMPETENCIES

    • Familiarity with various av technologies is preferred (ProPresenter, Digital Audio Consoles, Dante, Lighting Consoles, Networking, Resi, Black Magic)
    • Able to lift 50lbs
    • Willingness to get on aerial work lifts
    • Able to learn new and evolving technologies
    • Adaptable and flexible when working in live production environments
    • Highly organized and detail oriented
    • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
    • Self-starter with the ability to take initiative
    • Strong interpersonal skills; builds trust and works well with diverse teams
    • Highly Proficient with technology, including Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.)
    • Alignment with Grace Community Church's theological convictions and philosophy of ministry, including, but not limited to Gospel-centered and Emotionally Healthy Discipleship; convictions around God's vision for ethnic unity.


    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Able to lift up to 50lbs


    SCHEDULE

    • 40 Hours/Week; Sunday-Thursday
    • 1X Per Week - Meet with Technical Director
    • 1x Per Week - Attend the weekly All Staff Meetingson Tuesdaymornings
    • 1x Per Week - Attend the weekly All Staff PrayerPause
    • 1x Per Week - Weekend walkthrough meeting on Thursday afternoons
    • 1x Per Year - Tech Arts All Hands meeting
    • 1x Per Year - Participate in the All-Staff Retreat, typically inAugust
    • Christmas Eve + Easter Sunday Gatherings
    • As Needed - Initiate / attend project specific meetings
    • Sundaysrequired
