Job description

Church Pension Group (CPG) is a nancial services organization that serves the Episcopal Church, located in Midtown Manhattan. CPG was founded in 1917 to provide pension benets to eligible clergy of the Episcopal Church.
The Senior Administrative Assistant reports into the Executive Assistant & Church Relations Specialist, supporting the Office of the CEO & President, providing highlevel, administrative support to the Chief Executive Officer & President. This role requires exceptional judgment, discretion, professionalism, and the ability to anticipate needs in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment.
The position plays a key role in ensuring the effectiveness of the CEO's office by managing priorities, coordinating activities, and liaising across internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership and the Board of Trustees.
Effective performance of the essential functions of this position requires regular in-person, on-site interaction with colleagues, both for purposes of relationship building and meaningful collaboration.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Executive Support
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the CEO, including complex calendar management, travel planning, meeting coordination, and expense processing
  • Anticipate needs by proactively preparing materials, prioritizing tasks, and resolving administrative issues before they escalate
  • Support special projects, research, and other initiatives as assigned by the CEO
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound judgment in handling sensitive information
  • Represent the CEO and executive office with professionalism and poise
Communication & Coordination
  • Serve as one of the primary points of contact for the CEO's office, interacting with internal and external stakeholders, including board members
  • Draft, review, and edit executivelevel correspondence, presentations, reports, and briefing materials
  • Manage and prioritize incoming communications (email, phone, mail) to ensure timely and appropriate responses
  • Coordinate internal, external and board meetings, including agenda development, material preparation, minutes capture, and followup action tracking as needed
Operational & Strategic Support
  • Help streamline workflows and improve administrative processes to increase operational efficiency
  • Maintain files, records, and document management systems
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Demonstrated experience supporting a CEO or senior executive
  • Exceptional organizational and timemanagement skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High degree of discretion, integrity, and professionalism
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and collaboration tools (e.g., Teams, Zoom)
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • 5+ years of experience as an Executive Assistant or Senior Administrative Assistant supporting Csuite leadership
  • Experience supporting board-related activities or senior leadership teams strongly preferred
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent combination of work and education will be considered
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Extensive use of a computer keyboard is a demand of the position to perform the essential functions of this job successfully.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Currently, hybrid work environment, which requires working in CPG's office Tuesdays through Thursdays and flexibility to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays. Salary Range: $75,000 - $90,000
