KARM Stores Christmas is back again in North Knoxville!! We are now hiring Seasonal Assistant Managers for Christmas positions.


Assistant Manager pay begins at $18-19 an hour, based on experience. Store hours are 9a - 6p, some evenings and Saturdays required. KARM Stores keyholders must be 18 or older

Position Summary

KARM Stores is seeking an Assistant Processing Manager for our Christmas location. This role helps lead the processing department by supporting daily operations, driving productivity, maintaining quality standards, and helping develop a strong, mission-minded team. The Assistant Processing Manager works closely with the Processing Manager to ensure donations are efficiently accepted, sorted, processed, and priced in a fast-paced retail environment.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys leading people, staying organized, working hands-on with a team, and helping create an efficient and positive work environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Support the daily operations of the processing department
  • Perform and oversee duties related to accepting donations, presorting, processing, and pricing merchandise
  • Help ensure quick, accurate, and efficient workflow in a fast-paced environment
  • Encourage and motivate team members to meet daily and weekly production goals
  • Work alongside the Processing Manager to address department needs and solve operational issues
  • Assist with delegating tasks and responsibilities to team members
  • Help lead the department when the Processing Manager is not on shift
  • Model and reinforce KARM Stores’ mission, values, and culture with the team
  • Support a work environment that reflects our core values of being trustworthy, team-minded, and teachable
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support store and department success

What We’re Looking For

  • Leadership experience in retail, production, warehouse, thrift, or a related environment preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced setting with a strong sense of urgency
  • Strong communication and team leadership skills
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and support others in doing the same
  • Basic computer and web navigation skills
  • Clear and legible handwriting
  • Commitment to KARM Stores’ mission and values
  • Ability to stay organized, manage priorities, and support team productivity

Physical Requirements

  • Stand for up to 100% of the workday
  • Lift, bend, and move continuously throughout the shift
  • Perform moderate to heavy physical activity on a regular basis
  • Lift up to 50 pounds as needed
  • Work in an active processing environment with frequent movement and strenuous activity
