Job description

Administrative Assistant

StreetWise Georgia — Lawrenceville, GA

Part-Time · 25-30 hours/week · In-Person · $20

About Us

StreetWise Georgia is a Christ-centered nonprofit ministry with a simple but powerful mission: Loving people. Meeting needs. Walking with families in our community from crisis to wholeness, one person at a time.

We envision a community where the love of Jesus transforms families — restoring dignity, building stability, and anchoring lasting hope. Every program we run, every family we serve, and every team member we bring on is part of making that vision real.

Our work is grounded in five core values that shape how we serve, lead, and steward everything entrusted to us:

  • Love Well — Everyone matters.
  • Own It — Responsibility, every time.
  • Better Together — We before me.
  • Serve with Excellence — How we serve reflects who we serve.
  • Steward Faithfully — Faithful with what He’s given us.

If you are hardworking, people-centered, and motivated by meaningful work, we would love to have you on our team.

About the Role

The Administrative Assistant is the operational backbone of our day-to-day office environment. Reporting to the Administration & Communications Manager, this role keeps our team organized, our communications moving, and our events supported. This is a people-facing, detail-oriented position that is perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys wearing multiple hats, and wants their work to have a direct impact on the community we serve.

What You’ll Do

  • Keep daily office operations running smoothly — serving as the first point of contact for staff and visitors, managing phones and the info email, coordinating schedules and meetings, and providing general staff support
  • Support our communications by drafting and sending volunteer and client emails via Mailchimp, maintaining sign-up links, and creating event registration forms
  • Handle all office ordering — supplies, print materials, tracts, and meeting food — and maintain accurate donor records in our CRM (training provided)
  • Provide hands-on support for events and drives, from scheduling and pre-event prep through post-event wrap-up, including assisting at large-scale events like our Gala and Christmas Store

What We’re Looking For

  • Prior administrative, office support, or customer-facing experience preferred
  • Comfortable with email platforms, scheduling tools, and basic office software (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace); familiarity with Mailchimp or a CRM a plus — training will be provided
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities with a steady, proactive approach
  • Clear and professional communicator — written and verbal
  • Punctual, reliable, and a strong team player who takes direction well
  • A heart that aligns with our mission as a Christ-centered ministry
  • High school diploma or GED required; some college or administrative training preferred

Schedule & Location

Part-time, 25-30 hours per week at $20/hr. In-person at our facility in Lawrenceville, GA. Specific schedule to be determined upon hire.
