About This Role

We are seeking a warm, energetic, and dependable GA Pre-K Assistant Teacher to support the daily operations of our Georgia Pre-K classroom.

This role partners with the Lead Teacher to impact a developmentally appropriate curriculum that aligns with state guidelines and promotes physical,

emotional, social, and cognitive growth.


What You'll Do

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Assist in planning and delivering classroom activities that meet the Georgia Early Learning Standards (GELDS)
  • Support whole group, small group, and individualized instruction.
  • Supervise and engage children during indoor and outdoor play
  • Monitor children's behavior and implement positive behavior strategies
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized learning environment
  • Communicate regularly with families and contribute to student portfolios
  • Participate in staff meetings, in-service training, and required DECAL & center professional development
  • Perform administrative and classroom support tasks as assigned by the Site Director and Lead Teacher

Requirements
  • Pass Criminal Records Screening
  • 1-year GPK Asst. teaching experience
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential, TCC or TCD in Early Childhood or related field or Assoc. or higher

in Early Childhood or related field

  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
