Vision for the Role: The Live Production Technician plays a vital role in facilitating ministry experiences for campers and guests during Hume's live chapel gatherings and recreation events. This individual eliminates distractions for guests by ensuring a high-quality audio and visual experience during worship, speaker sessions, recreation, and live opener performances.

The Role:
  • Duties include setting up, engineering, and tearing down audio, visual, and lighting for chapels, recreation, and other events.
  • Follow all safety procedures and directions provided by supervisors.
  • Maintain a positive and cooperative attitude, contributing to a Christ-centered team environment.
  • Represent Hume Christian Camps' values and mission through conduct, attitude, and service.

Our Ideal Candidate:
  • Must be a personal and adaptable self-motivator who can interface well with staff, speakers, and musicians.
  • A love of learning and a heart to serve through creating intentional environments is valuable.
  • Previous experience in AVL settings is desired.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age at the start of employment to live in summer staff housing.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Willingness to perform physical tasks and work outdoors or indoors as needed.
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work under supervision.
  • Must agree with and support Hume Christian Camps' Statement of Faith.
  • Must have a personal commitment to Jesus Christ and a desire to share the Gospel through word and deed.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand, walk, frequently lift up to 50 pounds, bend, climb, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday.
  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the functions of the job.
  • Live and work in extreme weather conditions, at high altitude, and in small living quarters.
