Job Description

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Automated Tester to join our team. The candidate will design, develop, and maintain automated and manual tests to assure quality, reliability, and performance across applications. The role requires strong experience in Selenium WebDriver, Java, CI/CD integration, API testing, and SQL with a proven ability to build scalable automation frameworks, improve test coverage, and enable faster, reliable releases.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and QA to define comprehensive test strategies and acceptance criteria.
  • Design, develop, and maintain robust, reusable Selenium WebDriver automation in Java.
  • Create and execute detailed manual test plans and cases for functional, integration, system, and regression testing.
  • Conduct exploratory testing to reveal defects and usability issues beyond scripted coverage.
  • Implement and maintain automation frameworks such as Page Object Model with TestNG/JUnit and Cucumber BDD.
  • Execute automated suites, analyze failures, log defects, and partner with developers for resolution.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
  • Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and integration testing with appropriate automation coverage.
  • Conduct API testing with Postman or Swagger to validate backend services.
  • Write and execute SQL queries for database validation and data integrity checks.
  • Participate in code reviews of automation scripts to uphold standards and best practices.
  • Report test progress, defect status, and product quality metrics to stakeholders.
  • Research and adopt new tools and methods to improve QA efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of software quality processes and practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of QA experience with strong emphasis on test automation.
  • Proficiency with Selenium WebDriver and strong Java programming skills. Experience with Python or C# is acceptable.
  • Hands-on experience with TestNG, JUnit, Pytest, or NUnit and the Page Object Model pattern.
  • Strong manual testing skills across functional, integration, system, and regression scopes, including exploratory testing.
  • Experience with Git and integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Working knowledge of SQL for validation and data checks.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Clear written and verbal communication with ability to explain technical issues to varied audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an agile environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber.
  • Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
  • Understanding of security testing concepts and tools.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Exposure to containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Relevant QA or test automation certifications.
  • Experience with mobile test automation.
