Job description

This is an excellent career opportunity to work in a 4th generation insurance firm who offers competitive compensation along with excellent benefits! Chittenden Group, a leading insurance agency in Connecticut, is seeking a Personal Lines Account Manager to service and manage a book of personal lines accounts for their Brookfield office.. The Account Manager will manage client communications, nurture key relationships, keep track of all necessary documentation, help clients understand their coverage, and ensure all relevant data is properly tracked in our secured systems. This position will be hybrid remote after an initial training period.

Responsibilities
  • Foster strong relationships with our clients to maintain a high level of client retention and product loyalty.
  • Perform the essential duties of servicing a book of business, including new and renewal marketing and placement.
  • The ability to cultivate new business with both existing and new accounts is also a critical function of this position.
  • Be the connection between the company, clients/prospects and the multiple insurance carriers represented by the company.
  • Prepare timely and complete insurance quotes for customers.
  • Round out accounts by offering additional personal lines coverages.
  • Conduct regular account reviews to improve retention.
  • Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction, respond to queries, and solve or refer problems.

Requirements
  • 1-5 years or more of insurance industry experience related to managing personal lines accounts.
  • Active Property and Casualty license.
  • Experience with Agency Management Systems.
  • Knowledge of computer software packages, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills.
