In this role, you submit documents to medical insurance companies for reimbursement for services and request or provide information and documentation when there are questions about a claim. Some chiropractic billing associates work for a medical billing company that provides billing services to a variety of different facilities and practices, while others are employees of a chiropractic office. In private practice, you may also register incoming patients and collect co-pays, maintain claims forms and related documentation, answer phones and emails, follow up with patients regarding past due accounts, and perform various office and accounting tasks as needed.
