Kraft Werks Engineering, a division of Ridgecrest Ventures, is a privately owned company located in Medina, Ohio. We are currently recruiting for one or twoexperienced Machiniststo join our team. We are looking for a hardworking, motivated professional who will be able to meet challenges and surpass customer expectations.

Machinist Job Responsibilities

Set-up and operate CNC Horizontal Mill, CNC Mill-Turn Lathe, CNC and manual Vertical Lathe. The position will require the individual to perform set-up, edit programming, tool setting, and all related activity to start the job in the machine shop. Responsible for the safety and operation of the machine.

Machinist Skills/Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Journeyperson machinist or at least 4-years experience on set up and operation of CNC equipment.
  • Must know application of proper inspection and gauging techniques.
  • Length to diameter ratio application of cutting tools.
  • Knowledgeable with speeds and feeds of HSS and carbide tooling.
  • Thorough knowledge of chip breaker in cutting tools.
  • Understand and can recognize sharp tools, drills, end mills, etc.
  • Must know crane and jib hoist operations and rigging application.
  • Must be proficient with reading prints in complex designs.
  • Interacts with design engineering on form, fit and function.
  • Must be familiar with FANUC controls and be able to troubleshoot G code programs.
  • Proficient with shop math (trigonometry, metric conversions, soft and hard formulas).
  • Must be able to evaluate CNC code and math application to size, location and true positional
    tolerances.
  • Proficient in geometric dimensioning and tolerances.
  • Actively contribute to continually strive to improve/enhance safety and the company's Quality Management System.
