Our lead teachers are responsible for coordinating the daily operations of assigned classes. Teachers will plan, present, and evaluate educational and recreational activities for childcare in a safe environment. Teachers work directly with children and parents daily to provide quality customer service.

Qualifications
  • Associate or Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
  • 1-2 years of previous experience in a young toddler-aged classroom (12-24 months) preferred
  • Current SIDS certification preferred
  • Develops relationships and communicates effectively with children, parents, and faculty members
  • Ability to calmly address stressful situations professionally while multitasking to ensure smooth school operations
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.
  • Must be able to remain active throughout the day to engage alongside the children in curriculum activities and outdoor play.
  • Ability to supervise children through sight and sound at all times during your shift. Comply with Goddard standards, including Name-to-Face supervision 
  • Comply with all State, Goddard, and local Health Department regulations to maintain school compliance at all times. Make necessary changes to the classroom when directed to maintain compliance, and notify Admin staff of anything needed for the classroom in terms of compliance (signs, paperwork, etc.)
