Job description

Title: Program Coordinator
Position: Part Time, up to 30 hours per week.
Location: Boys & Girls Club of the Kickapoo Tribe
Supervisor: Boys & Girls Club Chief Executive Officer
Position Summary: The Program Coordinator will work under direct supervision of the
Chief Executive Officer to deliver programming, maintain program records, and deliver
program reports to respective agencies. This is a part time position, with opportunity
for future fulltime employment. The Program Coordinator will be expected to work the
after-school program, summer program, special events, and planning.
General Description:
- Maintain emotionally and physically safe space for youth club members.
- Plan, create, and deliver curriculum for youth programs.
- Recruit, register, and onboard new youth club members.
- Serve as a positive role model and mentor to youth.
- Maintain and update club member information.
- Communicate updates, progress, and concerns with local partners, granting
agencies, and community members.
- Collect, input, and organize program records to prepare for program reports.
- Submit timely and accurate program reports to granting agencies.
- Participate in staff meetings and special events.
- Transport club members using Club vehicle.
- Supervise youth development staff.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Experience in working with children, knowledge of youth development, ability
to motivate youth and manage behavior problems, ability to deal with general
public, ability to plan and implement quality programs for youth, ability to
organize and supervise members in a safe environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and email communication.
- Mandatory CPR and First Aid Certifications and a valid state Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associates or Bachelor's Degree.
- Supervisory experience.
- Commercial Driver's License.
Privacy Policy:
Employee must comply with all requirements and provisions of Subpart D, of 43 CFR,
Part 2, which implements the Privacy Act (5USB, 552a) (i)(l).
Drug-Free Workplace Policy:
As a condition of employment, applicants must consent to pre-employment drug testing
prior to appointment, and abide by the Drug-Free Workplace Policy while employed by
the Kickapoo Tribe in Kansas.
Background Check Policy:
Applicants must undergo and pass a pre-employment background check as required by
the Boys & Girls Club of America prior to receiving an employment offer.
Indian Preference:
Preference in filing vacancies is given to qualified Indian candidates in accordance with
Indian Preference Act of 1934 (Title 25, USC, Section 472). Verification must be
submitted with the application if claiming Indian Preference. Consideration will be given
to non-Indian applicants in the absence of qualified Indian Preference eligible.
