Job description

This posting includes anticipated part-time positions for Child Nutrition General Workers in the Caesar Rodney School District. We expect openings for shifts of 5.5 hours, 4 hours, and 3 hours, depending on site needs.
Placement in a specific school is based on vacancies. QUALIFICATIONS:                       
-Excellent physical health / must be able to lift 35 lbs on a recurring basis
-High school diploma or GED is required
-All applicants must successfully pass a criminal background check
-Experience in school food service preferred
-Has good interpersonal communication skills.
-Is able to understand and follow verbal and written directions
 





BASIC FUNCTION:
General worker performs duties as assigned by the Cafeteria Manager that relates to all aspects of Child Nutrition in a fast-paced work environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties as assigned by Cafeteria Manager. Duties may include laundry, washing dishes, taking temperatures, serving hot and cold foods, putting away deliveries, counting, operating cash registers, prepping menu items, cleaning, and other duties as assigned.


SALARY:  In accordance with the State of Delaware and local salary schedules, based on experience. 
PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:


 
  • Individuals must provide official transcripts, if applicable, updated resume, and three (3) letters of recommendation.
  • All persons employed by the Caesar Rodney School District are required to submit a criminal background check and a tuberculosis test.
  • Anyone offered employment is required to provide the following:  proper identification (Social Security Card and Driver's License), documentation of eligibility for employment in the U.S.A., completion of I-9 form, and completion of paperwork for the Delaware Child Protection Registry.
