Position Summary:


Boar's Head Resort is seeking a dedicated and engaging Child Care Supervisor to oversee daily operations of the Sport Club Childcare Center. This role is responsible for ensuring a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment for children while supporting, coaching, and leading childcare staff. The ideal candidate is passionate about child development, guest service, and maintaining high operational standards in a luxury hospitality setting.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily operations of the Childcare Center within the Sport Club
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all children and families
  • Lead, schedule, and support childcare team members; provide coaching and feedback
  • Maintain appropriate child-to-staff ratios at all times in compliance with regulations
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate activities and programming
  • Communicate effectively with parents/guardians, ensuring a high level of guest service
  • Monitor check-in/check-out procedures and ensure accurate documentation
  • Enforce all safety, sanitation, and emergency procedures
  • Partner with Sport Club leadership and HR on staffing, hiring, and training needs
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and ensure equipment is in safe working condition
  • Address and resolve any guest concerns in a timely and professional manner

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in childcare, early childhood education, or related field
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate care practices
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment
  • Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand, walk, and actively engage with children for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs (children, equipment, supplies)
