• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for children and adolescents to identify their specific needs and challenges.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that reflect the developmental stages and familial contexts of each patient.
• Deliver evidence-based therapies to address a variety of mental health conditions, utilizing cognitive-behavioral techniques, play therapy, and family systems approaches.
• Engage families in therapy sessions to reinforce learned strategies for providing emotional support at home.
• Work collaboratively with child psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to design comprehensive care strategies that align with multidisciplinary perspectives.
• Offer crisis intervention and emotional support during acute mental health episodes involving children and adolescents.
• Educate caregivers and clients on mental health issues, promoting understanding of treatment strategies and local community resources for added support.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation according to state regulations and ethical standards for the purpose of effective case management.
• Participate actively in team meetings, case reviews, and continuing education activities to stay current with best practices in mental health treatment.

This position focuses on providing therapeutic support specifically to children and adolescents facing a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety disorders, mood disorders, ADHD, and other behavioral problems. The therapist will work with young patients from diverse backgrounds, ensuring culturally sensitive approaches are applied to each unique situation. Through targeted interventions, you will play a key role in facilitating positive outcomes for young individuals and their families.

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas is mandatory.
• Strong foundation in child and adolescent mental health disorders and therapeutic methods.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a child-centered approach to therapy.
• Ability to build rapport and trust with children, adolescents, and their families is crucial.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems is preferred.
• Demonstrable capability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team setting.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in clinical settings, particularly focusing on child and adolescent care.
• Experience in delivering both individual and family therapy.
• Familiarity with evidence-based practices and knowledge of community resources for referrals is advantageous.
