• Develop, implement, and review individualized treatment plans based on comprehensive assessments of clients' mental health needs.
• Engage in crisis intervention strategies, providing immediate support to clients experiencing acute psychological distress.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches tailored for both children and adults, including cognitive behavioral therapy and family systems therapy.
• Facilitate parent support groups, offering resources and guidance on parenting challenges, particularly with families impacted by substance exposure and adoption issues.
• Provide training and mentoring to both community professionals and families regarding mental health issues pertinent to our client population.
• Consult with interdisciplinary team members to ensure a holistic approach to mental health care.

The primary focus of this role will be on delivering mental health services to children, adolescents, and families, specifically those dealing with high-risk situations. You will be responsible for providing compassionate care to clients aged 0-21, ensuring that interventions are age-appropriate and culturally sensitive. Your ability to engage with clients from diverse backgrounds will be crucial to fostering trust and establishing therapeutic relationships.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is a prerequisite.
• Possession of a valid and active California license in Marriage and Family Therapy (LMFT).
• Strong foundational knowledge of child development, parenting strategies, and issues surrounding child abuse and neglect.

• Proven experience providing mental health treatment and intervention for children and their families.
• Expertise in parent-child interventions, particularly with high-risk populations, is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with various therapeutic techniques suitable for diverse clientele, including trauma-informed care.
