Chief Financial Officer (CFO) - Manufacturing / Industrial Operations
Overview:
Seeking an experienced CFO to serve as the financial leader of a standalone manufacturing operating company. This role partners closely with executive leadership to drive strategic planning, operational performance, financial integrity, and business growth, including acquisition activity and operational expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a strategic business partner to the President and senior leadership team.
Lead all finance and accounting functions, including financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, internal controls, compliance, and audit coordination.
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP and SOX requirements.
Provide financial analysis, business insights, and recommendations to improve profitability and operational performance.
Identify growth opportunities through organic initiatives and acquisitions.
Support M&A activities including due diligence, valuation, integration, and post-acquisition performance management.
Develop and implement cost containment and operational improvement initiatives.
Maintain and improve financial systems, reporting tools, and performance metrics.
Partner with operations leadership to resolve business challenges and improve decision-making.
Build, lead, and develop high-performing finance teams across a matrixed organization.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including lean accounting and operational finance best practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; MBA preferred.
CPA/CMA preferred but not required.
15+ years of finance/accounting leadership experience, including 5+ years leading finance for a standalone operating company or division within a public company.
Experience supporting multi-site manufacturing operations, including international operations and complex entity structures.
Strong expertise in:
Financial planning & analysis (FP&A)
Operational and cost accounting
GAAP and SOX compliance
Budgeting and forecasting
Mergers & acquisitions
Lean manufacturing and lean accounting principles
Experience partnering directly with operations and P&L leadership to drive business performance.
International finance experience preferred.
Ability to travel approximately 25-30%, including international travel.
